Dr. Louise Brown Director of Social Work at the University of Bath, U.K.
Abstract：This seminar will describe the origins, model and transfer of Family Group Conferencing from New Zealand to the UK. It will present my research findings from an empirical study looking at the factors influencing the adoption of this innovative model of practice in social work, particularly in child protection practice. Drawing upon this and other examples of complex innovations the seminar will discuss the current knowledge around using innovations to improve social work practice. This will be of interest to academics from social work, social policy and public management.
Academic lunch meeting will be divided in two parts:

12:00 – 13:30 Keynote Speech and Discussion
Our academic lunch meeting will provide free coffee, tea, fruits, desserts and a fine selection of lunch for faculties in School of Sociology and Anthropology.
